Stranded !





Stranded - was a University project made in Maya by ME.

The assignment suppose to tell a sci-fi story. The hero was kidnapped by alien to a deserted island. On this deserted island the hero find test lab made by humans to test on the Aliens. This is the hall to that lab, filled with glowing tubes and liquid nitrogen cover the lab floor.

This is one semester work, First time I touch Maya, the poly count was through the roof. For next post, I will put up some side project that will be made by Bree, my friend Winston and myself.

Exhibition stuff !


Well, my group and I had an exhibition on 14th-15th August for our project and such. Met couple old friends, colleagues and important people form the game industry. Bree and I manage to make couple connection and pass our name cards to people who stopped by our booth. Hopefully we leave enough impressions with our work.
This is all the creatures from the Exigo project. The Project end up on a shelf at the start of this semester. It's still in Alpha mode so it's very buggy and unrefined. Mind you, this is my first time modeling and texture that actually manage to get inside a proper game. My fellow team mate Bree did the Player's character, check out her blog to see her awesome artwork.

Celestial




Okay, here is my angel of....DOOM ! The picture show the end of mankind, Armageddon, apocalypse, The End of everything. My parents once, asked me "why do you always draw demons and monsters? draw angels for a change..." You got your wish Mom ! here is my version of an angel . Unlike all the other angels, this guy have been tasked to prepare mankind for Armageddon. Make sure they repent their sins and walk on the right path once more. How does he do that? by spreading destruction and fear. well, I made up this angel so...don't burn me on a stake...please...

Demi God


This over here is my first Character Model, textured and animated I ever made. The Polycount is 9,086 Tris, including the platform below him. I made this guy during my 2nd year in University. Using both Maya and 3D max to complete it. Okay so this guys is an Ice Giant Demi God. Got the idea from Vrykul from World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. So yeah.... first try modeling something organic. Cherios~

Elemental


After o so long, i finally done it ! Forest Elemental/Deity or whatever. Wait...its more like a swamp elemental.... ANYWAY got the idea from Hellboy 2 Elemental. Tried Speed painting with the background. overall I'm not satisfied with what I've done. but its still a progress. Next is Celestial ! sorry for being so late Bree (>_<)

Explore your wildest imagination

Evening ladies and gents,

Billions things to do, and so little time to get them done. Game studio's, artwork, and folios. sigh* but at least the latest Explorer theme for my "weekly artwork" is done. I wonder if my skill improve ? =_= man, downloaded How to train your Dragon. one word to describe this movie. AMAZING !. I love it, it give me so much inspiration and motivation to do my work. I fan it on facebook, download the theme songs as well, Soon i might even buy Toothless figurines soon, if i can get my hand on it of course. Anywayz,



Meet Ambassador Varen *again. Done some Tweaking to his face to make him less hostile. In this scene, the ambassador is gathering all his research data from his research droids that he scatter on the surface of the Planets he's investigating. Sorry for the lack of detail, I just can't do it when i start drawing it with Wacom Tablet. But overall i like the finish product. Yes this is finish... maybe. It's all thx to miss Blueberry aka Bree for submiting her explorer up, man, without her i probably slack off this week as well :D thx Bree chan ! now off creating 3d with marvelous How to train Your Dragon ost playing to keep me motivated XD!

SPEED

First ly I have to apologize to Ms. Bree Del Blueberry for such late post on our weekly task. Yes, I'm well aware that it's one week late with the Speed idea. Nevertheless I have finished the task in less than one hour of drawing time. For me personally, this has been the fastest drawing to finish ,therefore earn the title "speed". My original idea was to draw something more speedy like but oh well.. better to jave one bad art than to have nothing at all i say.

Here we are, Ambasaddor Varen from the Saurian Race. Despite he's fearsome appearance, Varen is gentle by nature and highly intelligence. My original idea was to draw him complete from head to toe. but i don't have the time and i will try to spent more time doing some more speed painting that could show more detail than this.

Neptune de Fortuna~ is the name of my spaceship, even though the name doesn't make sense in English. This spaceship is design as a drop ship. It carries the humans and transport them from capital ship to the planets they suppose to investigate and such. This is the 2nd smallest ship after Star Fighters model. The ship equipped with 4 rings of anti gravity which can only be use to maneuver after breaching the planet's atmosphere. The 4 booster on it's back support the speed and power to enter planet's atmosphere or travel in space using light speed.

Alien Week 2


OH EM GEE~ dammit! I feel like screaming as loud as i can when i see my finished alien black and white artwork. This is my 2nd Week casual project. Theme aliens... this is like my fourth attempt doing this theme, the first three was total failure. The idea wasn't connecting, i dont know what i was drawing and i have no clue where to start my coloring from. So i draw this alien on my sketch book, scan it at friend's house and colored it at home. Over all, i won't exactly say i'm satisfied with the detail on it's armor, but since this drawing was long over due i guess i let it pass. I tried to concentrate on black and white instead of colors through this pic. Since it would be easier for me to do and let me get comfortable with the lighting and all. But, when i manage to get to the face, well as you can see ladies and gents, I need serious spent time on drawing potrait both humans and monsters alike.... *sigh, well nothing i can do now beside keep drawing profile pictures and potrait during my free time...

Still waiting for my friend, to decide on the theme this week. Hopefully its not too late and i'm looking forward to do her brilliant and interesting theme. I can tell my whatever i type now hardly make any sense. It's late night, gotta hit the gym tomorow morning and got class on the afternoon. It's gonna be a long day.

Into the Abyss


here it is, some of the monsters I have colored for my Game Design. These pretties are 3 out of 5 sketches I have done for the project. The first one if the Soldier type. about 2-3 times bigger than the human characters. Capable of tearing and chewing the character's metal Armors. They are very agile bugs and pretty hard to put down without proper weaponry. These would be the main unit that player would encounter through out the game. Originally I want this baby to stand on their feet when they attack but...ngeaahhhhh~ we'll see when it comes down to the animations.


Next is the Juggernaut, Large dominant bugs, ready to impale and stampede whatever stands in their way. This bug is design to keep up with the Massive THOR unit that my fellow Artist/Designer, Bree Waldron has made. Since her unit is way huge than my other bugs, I create this bug large enough to impale her unit and hold it up in the airand chuck them away to the side. This picture is on a very bad angle, since u cannot see the face of the juggernaut. It walk on four set of limbs and it have small limbs (unable to see it from this angle as well) near it's head to help it tear it prey's flesh. This unit is like 2-3 times the size of a normal elphants.

This last one is called the Harvester, YES, im well aware that the coloring is F***ing gay, my team mate make sure i know abt it alrdy but , still they told me in the most very nice way ;) thx guys. Sometime in the future i will redo this piece. Okay, anyway, this monster is the anti-camp unit. Its Tough and have both long and short range attack. as the picture suggested, it pop out of the ground, entangled one or two of the characters, electrocute them while they are being entangled and drag them away from teh other team. Most of the time this bug will target Nanotech unit , Constructor or Operator. It able to pull large unit such as THOR but, it required all arms to do so.

So those are my bugs and hopefully i can finish the stage boss and post them up. Can't wait till i start modeling them either on Maya or 3D max. Peace out~

Detective


couple of days ago, me and my buddy Lucas decide to do some routine drawing and put them up on our blog. Something casual and fun to do. The due date for this routine is every sunday. which give us a week to do the sketches. This is my first sketch which I spent 30 minutes on it. The Theme is "Detective". I got some idea as I'm playing Champion Online, A mutant detective. This guy have the ability to teleport but in order to travel, he have to see his destination first. in This scene he's preparing to teleport and ambushed this Syndicate. NEXT issue is: ALIEN! looking forward to see your art buddy ! ^____^

When my pretties bit you~


one of the medium size creatures that will be the main soldier from my Bug's Army is infected humans that were left behind to start new colony on the forest planet. They got infected from getting bitten by a mosquito like creatures that messed up their blood cells and transform them into abominations. A mixture of human being and Bugs. This process of transformation will accelerate during the time where the victim lay asleep. As the human body try to recover from the damage by creating new blood cells, the virus spread faster and start infected the human's heart. After certain level of transformation, these abominations turn into mindless creature which make them act more through instinct. SO here i drew em half mutated, agile in battle, can afflict tons of damage with that mutated arm and look gross while doing so. Hope you like it :D

Bug Attack !


Rough Sketches made for final game studio. The detail level is very low and the face of the monsters are yet to be determined... The game take place in planet far far away from earth. This planet covered by forest like environments. The gameplay is survival mode but with flexibilty of each player to be able to change roles from healer to builder, gunner or operator. It's close to tower defense in 3rd person. And these bugs are the rough sketches of what you might encounter there. Unreal 3 Engine will be used to create this game.
